This notice explains what Product Recall Check, operated by Active Life Hub LLC, processes. A recall check needs product identifiers, not personal data, and we keep only what is needed to prove what the official source said, take payment and prevent double charging.
What we process
- Your query: product identifiers such as brand, model, UPC, lot, serial, VIN or NDC. Unpaid requests and quotes are processed in memory and not stored.
- VINs are used only to decode make, model and year through NHTSA’s vPIC service. The serial section (last six characters) is masked in every result and in stored evidence. We never request owner, registration or vehicle-history data.
- Paid checks: the normalized query, the result and the recall records returned by the authorities.
- Payment data: the payer’s public wallet address, amount, network and transaction hash, and a hash of your Idempotency-Key.
- Operational data: rate limiting uses a hash of your IP address in memory only; it is not stored.
What we do not do
- No accounts, tracking cookies, advertising or analytics.
- No consumer profiles: each check is independent and identifiers are not linked.
- No sale of data.
Retention
Evidence of a paid check is kept for 90 days so you can retrieve it, then deleted. Payment records (amount, transaction, classification) are kept for financial record-keeping.
Processors and sources
Hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), and payment verification/settlement (Coinbase Developer Platform x402 facilitator). Product identifiers are sent to the official recall APIs listed on the Coverage page (CPSC, NHTSA, FDA).
Your requests
A contact address will be published here. Until then, stored evidence is deleted automatically after 90 days.
